Breaking now

The blood flowing out in slow passivity
The chains breaking out in boastful anonymity
Through the days spent in uncaged captivity
He broke out.
He broke out of tears, joy and emotions
The slow stabs that caused him commotion
Every day filled with unwanted kindness
He broke out.
He broke out of hatred, love and apathy
The stability of unkempt sanity
Finally through the weeds grown to keep him down
He broke out
He broke out of mother, father, child
Through bonds of shallow pride
Into waves of freedom that swallowed him
And spit him out alive.
